International Travel House profits up 17 percent

New Delhi : The International Travel House Ltd, one of the country’s largest travel management companies, has posted a 17 percent increase in profits for the nine-month period ended Dec 31, 2007, over the corresponding period last fiscal.

The net profit after paying taxes stood at Rs.67.7 million and the company’s income has grown by 12.7 percent. The profits, before paying taxes, stood at Rs.109.7 million, which showed a growth of 17 percent over last year.

The one-stop travel shop, which offers all travel-related services under a single roof recently won the Golden Peacock Innovative Product and Service Award for its car rental services. It is setting up a new car rental office in Noida near Delhi, increasing the number of car rental outlets across the country to 41.

The activities of the company include business travel, planning holidays, car rentals, destination management services, leisure travel, conferences, and organising exhibitions and events.
