Mumbai : A youth was killed and his two friends were seriously injured when their car rammed into a parked dumper early Tuesday near here.
Larson Almeida, 20, and his friends Malvin Fernandes, 18, and Rajesh Patel, 21, were going from Bhayendar to Mumbai, 12 km away. Larson was driving a Ford Ikon when he lost control of the car and rammed it into a parked dumper, police official Ajit Dalvi said.
“Larson died on the spot while Malvin and Rajesh were admitted to a hospital with head injuries and fractures,” Dalvi told IANS.
He said the three were driving towards Mumbai after dining and drinking at a restaurant and bar at Bhayendar.
A few weeks ago, there was another accident on the same road in which three call-centre employees were killed. The employees were riding triple on a motorcycle.
