Jerusalem : B’Tselem, an Israeli rights group, has said that the West Bank is facing a severe water crisis, and part of the blame falls on Israel.
In a report Monday, B’Tselem, which monitors the Palestinian territory, charged that Israeli settlers get more than three times as much water as Palestinians.
According to the report, the water shortage is chronic, and it blamed Israel for refusing to allow the Palestinians to drill new wells.
“The shortage will have serious repercussions on the economy and the health of tens of thousands of Palestinians,” it says, accusing Israel of stealing Palestinian water.
