Israeli Special Forces injure Quds Brigades chief — radio

Gaza : A Palestinian activist affiliated with Al-Quds Brigades, the military wing of Islamic Jihad, was injured late on Monday after being attacked by an Israeli Special Forces unit in a town located in the north of the West Bank.

Local radio stations in Gaza quoted a source in the brigades as saying the Israeli forces injured Ala’a Abu Al-Rab, in charge of the faction’s operations in the towns of Qabatiay, Jenin and the West Bank, late on Monday.

According to the source who requested anonymity, the troops ambushed Abu Al-Rab near eastern graveyard in Qabatiay town, southern Jenin, where he exchanged gunfire with the troops before fleeing with blood oozing from his injuries.

Abu Al-Rab suffered medium cuts, the source said, adding that he was among the most wanted by Israel, and had survived several assassination attempts.
