New Delhi: Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) and Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to telecast Urdu educational programs on DD Urdu channel.
IGNOU, the biggest distance education university of Asia, will cooperate in this field with MANUU.
Paying tribute to Urdu literature on this occasion, IGNOU Vice-Chancellor Prof. V.N. Rajshekharan Pillai said that it is in our interest that the nation maintains educational integration and achieves evolutionary progress in literature, science, language and poetry.
He stressed that this program will benefit educationally backward sections of the society in ensuring their share in national progress.
He also congratulated the senior producer of Urdu channel of Gyan Darshan Abdus Samad who has created a record of producing more than a hundred Urdu programs in lesser time and shorter budget.
MANUU Vice-Chancellor A.M. Pathan thanked Prof. Pillai, saying that this is a moment of joy for our foreign students as they will now be able to benefit from our efforts and objectives on imparting education in the field of technology and literature.
