Top Pakistan-based insurgent killed in Indian-administered Kashmir

New Delhi : As many as two insurgents, including a top commander of the Pakistan-based Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT), were Thursday killed by security forces in Indian-administered Jammu and Kashmir.

The encounter took place in Naina village in Jammu and Kashmirs Pulwama district, news agency Indo Asian News Service reported, quoting a police officer.

LeT’s south Kashmir commander Abu Atif and his companion were killed in the encounter, the officer said. Atif was in the most wanted list of Jammu and Kashmir police as he was involved several attacks on the security forces over the years, the officer informed.
