Raipur : The final session of the present Chhattisgarh state assembly beginning Monday will be stormy with the opposition Congress set to grill the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) for alleged corruption and collapse of the law and order machinery.
Congress sources say party MLAs will seize the opportunity to expose BJP on its alleged corruption in various infrastructure development projects and “a total breakdown” of law and order in the state since the saffron party came to power in December 2003.
The five-day Monsoon session of the state assembly will be held July 7-11.
The state is due to go to the polls in November to elect a new 90-member assembly.
Presently, the ruling party has 52 members while the Congress has 34 MLAs. Besides, the Bahujan Samaj Party and the Nationalist Congress Party have one member each while two seats are vacant.
