George Anca, a famous indologist of Romania, has translated Bhutani’s poems from English and Urdu into Romanian. Bhutani’ s earlier works have been translated into Polish.

A known Urdu poet, Bhutani has written six volumes in the language and has now started writing in English also.

“It was sheer delight for me to translate his amazing poetry into Romanian. I felt privileged when I started receiving his poems and immediately I started working on his poetry. The universal appeal of his poetry warms the heart of every poetry lover whatever may be his language,” said Anca during the book release ceremony in the city of Valeca.

“In an age where a human is becoming a machine at a devastating speed, his verses prompt us to take a pause and reflect upon the destiny of humankind,” said Constatian Maleescu, a noted Romanian writer who has written an India-inspired novel, “Hills Under Sun” along with another book “India Diary”.

In his remarks, Bhutani said tremendous progress has been made by the writers of Eastern Europe in the last 18 years.

“Unfortunately, freedom of expression is still being denied to the other half of the population of the globe and we, the writers of the free world, should not overlook the fact after gaining our subjective freedom. We will have to carry on our struggle to liberate the chained voices of the other half,” Bhutani said.
