Four Indians killed in Afghan attack

New Delhi : At least two diplomats and two security personnel were killed in a car bomb attack on the Indian embassy in Kabul Monday, officials here said.

The dead included Defence Attache Brigadier R.D. Mehta and Press Counsellor Venkat Rao. The others were from the Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP), which protects the Indian mission.

A defence ministry official said that an Indian Air Force IL-76 aircraft would soon leave for Kabul to bring back the bodies of the Indians.
