Ramallah : Israeli forces arrested eight wanted Palestinians in West Bank early on Monday, Israeli and Palestinian security sources said.
According to the Palestinian sources, two of the detainees were seized in Nablus city during an Israeli army incursion in which the soldiers used sonic bombs and fire.
The two Palestinians were taken from their houses when the soldiers broke into several buildings and conducted searching operations.
Meanwhile, the Israeli troops also stormed the holy city of Jenin and arrested six people. Security sources said the six were also caught during home searching.
The Israeli forces launch detentions among West Bank residents on daily basis, saying the campaigns target Palestinian activists who are wanted by the Israeli intelligence services.
In June, the Israeli army arrested 340 Palestinians in West Bank raids, according to the Palestinian prisoners’ affairs ministry.
