Jakarta : The European Commission plans to consider revoking the ban on all Indonesian airline companies in the session to be held on July 9 to 11.
Director General for air transportation and Indonesian Ministry of Transportation Budhi M. Suyitno said that the decision to revoke the ban will be decided by 27 members of European Union on July 10.
“We have sent all data which has been validated by the European Union,” Bisnis Indonesia daily Tuesday quoted Budhi M. Suyitno as saying.
Indonesia accepts any decision made by the European Union concerning the ban on all airlines, he said.
All requirements asked by the EU have been fulfilled on schedule including all supports from several member countries of European Union such as Dutch, France, German, and Greek.
All Indonesian airlines have been banned to flight over member countries of the European Commission since July 2007 following an audit of ICAO (International Civil Aviation Organization) which accused Indonesian airlines of neglecting safety of passengers.
