Members of the Israeli Army used tear gas and concussion grenades against the demonstrators, who opposed the over 435-mile wall separating families and the best cultivable lands.

The construction of the wall in the area tries to stop the penetration of Palestinian attackers coming from the West Bank, and will deprive its inhabitants of at least 617.7 acres of arable land.

During the last few days, the inhabitants of Naalín tried to block Israeli bulldozers working in the area, and according to sources eight security employees and two workers were wounded.

Regarding the demonstrations of the last few days as violent, occupation troops closed the roads into the town for as long as disorders continue, according to military sources.

Palestinian negotiator Saeb Erekat condemned the Israeli cruelty in Naalín and requested the immediate suspension of the construction of the wall and the Israeli settlements.

In 2004, the International Court of Justice in Le Hague ruled illegal the construction of the segregationist wall, which was ignored by Tel Aviv.
