Nanded (Maharashtra): The crime branch of the Nanded district police seized explosive materials from a house on 5th July and arrested Mohan Lal Hardeoji and Bhor Lal Bagsu, both from Rajasthan, in this connection, but the police did not make the news public for reasons best know to them.
According to Urdu daily The Inquilab, the explosives were seized from a house at Hadgaon Road about 5 km from the Nanded city. The police raided the house on a tipoff.
According to the police sources, says the daily’s report, the explosive materials included 365 electronic detonators, 400 gelatin sticks, battery holders and a tractor with 10 detonators and 10 gelatin sticks
Mohan Lal Hardeoji (20) from Jadras, Rajasthan and Bhor Lal Bagsu (35) from Goyand Pura, also Rajasthan have been booked under several sections of the Indian Penal Code. The owner of the house where the duo lived in is being investigated.
Three days after seizure and arrests, the police could not ascertain where the explosives were brought from and why.
TwoCircles.net talked to Feroz Khan Gazi, president of the social organization Movement for Peace and Justice. He said, “Till now the police have not brought the case in public. There has not been any press briefing in this connection by the police since 5th July, the day when the matter came to light.”
“It seems the police have decided to cover up this case. That is why it is hesitating to bring this matter into the public domain,” Gazi said talking to TwoCircles.net on phone.
He further said that after the arrest of some activists of the Hindu Janajagruti Samiti in connection with the Thane theatre bombing, people have come to know that Hindutva terrorism does exist in India. “It is possible that this case also may be related to the cases of Hindutva extremism,” Gazi pointed out.
That is why he has demanded the administration that a fare and serious investigation should be conducted in this case. He also demanded investigation in the Nanded blasts. Whether the accused persons have any link with communal organizations and purpose of stocking of weapons and explosives should also be investigated, Gazi said.
