NATO: 909 people killed, wounded in Afghan suicide blasts this year

Kabul : A total of 909 people including 712 civilians have been killed or wounded in suicide blasts across Afghanistan this year, a NATO spokesman said here Wednesday.

As many as 228 civilians were dead and 484 more were wounded in deadly suicide bombing attacks in the war-battered country in 2008,Mark Laity, NATO civilian spokesman in Kabul, told a news briefing.
