Agartala : Pranay Sahaya, a 1975 batch Indian Police Service (IPS) officer, took charge as Tripura’s director general of police Tuesday.
Sahaya, a Manipur-Tripura cadre officer, was the additional director general of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) in Chandigarh before this.
The post of the Tripura police chief was lying vacant after the former director general K.T.D. Singh, 59, died of a heart attack May 2.
