New Delhi : India Thursday gave ex-post-facto approval for the signing of Extradition Treaty with Brazil as part of efforts to combat international crime. “The Indian Cabinet in a meeting held here today, chaired by Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, gave its ex-post-facto approval for the signing of Extradition Treaty between India and Brazil (on April 15, 2008) and authorise ratification of the Treaty,” an official statement said. The Treaty would provide a legal framework for seeking extradition of terrorists, economic offenders, and other criminals from and to Brazil, the statement added.
