According to Israeli radio, the ceremonies for Ehud Goldwasser’s funeral were held at Naharaya Military Cemetery, and ceremonies for the other soldier, Eldad Regev, will take place later today.

Israel’s Defense Minister Ehud Barak who was attending the ceremonies had said that Israel was ready to pay what might have seemed a very high price for the return of the two bodies.

He added paying ransom for captives or to retrieve their bodies was a duty for all nations since old times.

He addressed the family of Israeli air navigator Ron Arad, who went missing in Lebanon in 1982 and said Israel will not hesitate to exert all effort in order to get him back alive as soon as possible, stressing that this case will never be closed.
