New Delhi : India’s President, Mrs. Pratibha Devisingh Patil has greeted the icon of anti Apartheid movement, Dr. Nelson Mandela on his 90th Birthday.
“Dr Mandela had fired the imagination of millions across the world in practicing what Mahatama Gandhi, Father of the Nation of India, preached” said Patil .
In her greeting message to him, Mrs Patil said the leadership provided by Nelson Mandela against apartheid has shown that it is possible to resolve the bitterst of differences through the spirit of reconciliation.
She also recalled the contributions of Mandela in laying the foundations of rapidly growing partnership between India and South Africa.
