Pakistan, India to hold 5th round of peace talks on July 21

Islamabad : Pakistan and India will hold the fifth round of Composite Dialogue Process (CDP) on July 21 in New Delhi to discuss among others Kashmir and trade related issues.

Foreign Secretary Salman Bashir will head the Pakistani side to discuss with his counterpart the segments of “Peace and Security including Confidence Building Measures (CBMs)” and “Jammu and Kashmir”, said a foreign office statement.

Both sides, it said, will look into the prospects of a just and peaceful resolution of Jammu and Kashmir dispute.

The talks will also focus on peace and security, besides reviewing the implementation of conventional, nuclear and cross-LoC (Line of Control) CBMs.

The interaction will provide the two foreign secretaries an opportunity to also discuss other areas of bilateral cooperation, said the statement.
