Srinagar : A tourist was killed and five other people were injured when separatist militants lobbed a grenade in Gulmarg town of north Kashmir Sunday afternoon, officials here said.
The militants lobbed the grenade at the telephone exchange where a paramilitary guard was posted. The grenade missed the target and exploded in the foreground, injuring five residents of the town and the tourist, identified as Ashok Kumar from Uttar Pradesh, the officials said quoting the police in Gulmarg.
The injured were rushed to hospital, where Kumar died of his injuries, they said.
