While hearing a five-year-old land dispute case, the Fatehpur district court Saturday issued an order to attach the property of the minister. Similar order was also issued against three of Pal’s associates.

“A case was registered against the minister and three others and the police filed a charge sheet, based on which the court has given the orders,” the official said.

As per records, Pal and his accomplices forcibly tried to take possession of a land in Rara village Sept 3, 2006. However, the move was opposed by villagers and led to firing, in which about half a dozen villagers were injured.

Proceedings under the Gangster Act were also initiated against Pal at that time.

The court has directed the police to submit the compliance report by August 4.

“We would ensure the compliance of court’s order,” said K.S. Pipana, superintendent of police, Fatehpur.
