New Delhi : Chaos not only marred the proceedings of the Lok Sabha Tuesday but also gripped the parliament complex when a group of visitors with authorised passes were not allowed entry.
The commotion was so uncontrolled that one member of the Bihar legislative assembly, Dayanand Yadav, even fainted at Gate Number Two of Parliament House and was immediately taken to the Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital.
Around 250 visitors were queued up at this gate when security personnel bolted the door from inside to stop the ‘unruly’ crowd.
As a result, the agitated visitors resorted to slogan shouting and demanded they be allowed to go to the public gallery to see the concluding part of the proceedings.
“It is very unfortunate that security personnel have not made proper arrangements and we are going to miss the opportunity to see such an important proceeding in the Lok Sabha,” said Baljeet Kumar, a visitor from Ambala in Haryana.
“It is worse that they (guards) are now telling us to get the time changed,” Kumar told IANS.
