Brunei : His Highness the Prime Minister of Kuwait Sheikh Nasser Mohammad Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah held talks here Friday with Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah and delivered a message from His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah on ways of boosting bilateral relations and cooperation in different domains.
The meeting took place at Istana Nurul Iman, Bolkiah’s Palace, with attendance of members of the royal family.
Official talks then took place between Bolkiah and Sheikh Nasser with attendance of delegations from both sides.
An official source at the Kuwaiti delegation said the talks took place in a friendly atmosphere and were very frank.
Sheikh Nasser expressed gratitude for Sultan Bolkiah for his country’s support for Kuwait’s just causes within ASEAN and other international conferences, said the source.
The source said talks between both sides also dealt with boosting economic and commercial relations, as well as encouraging investment opportunities in both states.
Two agreements on economic and trade cooperations were signed after the talks, in addition to a memorandum of understanding between foreign ministries.
Bolkiah held a dinner banquet in honor of Sheikh Nasser and the delegation accompanying him.
