Gaza : Several blasts in Gaza killed four and wounded 23 people, shaking the relative peace that prevailed in past weeks in a territory under Hamas control.
Authorities from the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) issued a maximum alert Friday night after the third powerful blast near Gaza beach.
Security reported the deaths of two Hamas activists and a girl, and blamed the blasts on Al-Fatah, of Palestinian National Authority President Mahmoud Abbas.
Official reports talk of an explosion outside the popular cafe Al Jazzera that killed the perpetrator and wounded another three.
A second incident occurred outside Hamas Attorney Marwan Abu Rass’ home, causing no victims, just light damage to the building structure.
The incidents alarmed the population and mobilized local security, because the June 19 truce between Hamas and Israel had eased such frequent violent actions.
Security forces arrested a suspected member of Al-Fatah, since arresting the violators of the truce prevented Israeli military intervention and avoided reestablishment of harsh blockade against Gaza.
