Gaza : Israeli Foreign Minister Tzipi Livni has said that the new Israeli government will be formed by next fall.
Speaking to the media Tuesday, Livni affirmed that if she took charge of the next government, she would work on changing the way of rule and call for direct elections of the prime minister.
She said that the current political system was hindering plans of development in Israel.
Livni launched a full assault on Prime Minister Ehud Olmert, calling on him to resign in light of current investigations on his acceptance of bribes from Jewish American businessman Morris Talansky.
The Kadima Party, of which Livni is a member, will hold elections to determine who will lead the party next November.
Olmert’s chances in the party’s elections are very slim due to his involvement in the corruption scandal.
