Istanbul : The Turkish police continues search for leads regarding the Istanbul attacks plotters which killed 17 people and injured some 154.
Turkish media quoted security sources as saying it is highly probable the Kurdish Labor Party is responsible for the attacks, as the (RBX) explosives are the usual mark of a party operation.
The sources added the same explosives were used by the party in the bombing of a commercial center in Ankara in May 2007.
This could be the party’s attempt at reprisal as it is suffering both in the south eastern parts of the country and in northern Iraq.
Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan almost openly accused the party of executing the attack after visiting the scene of the blasts.
Turkish President Abdullah Gul described the attacks as acts of terrorism that fail to spare man, woman, child, or an elderly.
