Chopra 53rd in Memorial golf tourney

Dublin (Ohio) : Indo-Swede golfer Daniel Chopra finished tied 53rd with a final round of 76, his third such score in four rounds at the Memorial Tournament on the US PGA Tour.

His rounds of 76, 68, 76 and 76 saw him finish with a total of eight over 296 here Sunday.

American Kenny Perry emerged winner with a total of eight under 280. Perry closed with a 3-under 69 to pull away from the pack for a two-shot victory at the Memorial Tournament. He joins Tiger Woods as the only three-time winners at the tournament Jack Nicklaus built.

The 47-year-old Perry became the oldest winner of the Memorial. As he walked off the 18th green with one final par, he received a warm handshake from Nicklaus.
