Lucknow : Fed up with their prolonged illness, two people, in separate incidents, committed suicide in Uttar Pradesh capital, the police said here Monday.
Neeraj Awasthi in Madiyaon locality here consumed sulphas tablets after a dispute with his wife. In the other case, Usha Devi hanged herself from a window grill at her residence in Indira Nagar locality, police spokesman Ghulam Abbas said.
“While Neeraj was suffering from a prolonged stomach problem and did not have children after seven years of marriage, Usha was suffering from sleep disorder due to old age,” Abbas told IANS.
