Kabul : Taliban militants have gunned a district chief of intelligence in southeastern Afghanistan, officials said on Tuesday.
Spokesman for the provincial government Khaibar Pashtun said chief of the national intelligence department of Alisher district of the country’s southeastern Khost province was shot dead while on his way to his office.
He said the officer was killed this morning as armed men opened fire on his car, adding enemies of the country, the term Afghan officials use for Taliban, were responsible for the attack.
