The lawsuit was filed by a coalition of Jordanian media outlets, unions and political parties in April, two months after Danish newspapers reprinted the cartoons that triggered widespread protests in the Muslim world when they first appeared in 2006.

“The notification will be communicated to the defendants by Jordanian authorities through the Danish embassy in Amman,” the coalition’s spokesperson Zakaria Sheikh told the daily.

The campaign also plans to renew a boycott on June 10 against Danish and Dutch products, which includes the distribution of more than one million posters in Arab and Muslim countries, according to the spokesperson.
