Kiwi all-rounder Jacob Oram has admitted the players were weighing the pros and cons of undertaking the tour before making up their mind.

While Oram refused to discuss whether some players were uncomfortable about going to Pakistan, but said the issue was indeed raised at a recent team meeting.

The one-dayers will be played before the Chamnpions Trophy.

Oram agreed that it was a major issue concerning every player and said he himself had not made up his mind on the subject.

New Zealand Cricket (NZC) said players would be have the opportunity to pull out of the tour without any impact on their contractual obligations, or implications for future selection.

As for decision, Oram said he would have to discuss the matter with his wife and family before making up my mind.

Australia cancelled their scheduled tour earlier this year amid outbreaks of violence in Pakistan.
