Kathmandu : Nepal’s top three leading parties in the Constituent Assembly (CA) on Sunday morning decided to forma joint panel to suggest ways to resolve the current political deadlock.
The six-member panel includes two representatives from each of the three parties, the Communist Party of Nepal (Maoist) (CPN-M), the Nepali Congress (NC) and the Communist Party of Nepal (UnifiedMarxist-Leninist) (CPN-UML).
The panel is expected to form draft for amending the Interim Constitution to resolve the deadlock over power-sharing, according to local leading news website Nepalnews.com.
The panel has been asked to bring up their suggestions within two days.
The party leaders have vowed to end the deadlock by Tuesday, ahead of the nest CA meeting on Wednesday.
Nepali political parties still remain in deadlock about the formation of new government, after the abolition of monarchy from the Himalayan nation on May 28 by the first CA meeting which declared the country a federal democratic republic.
