Moscow : The U.S. Embassy in Russia has handed over to the Moscow police a ‘suspicious’ parcel containing an alarm-clock, a bible, and some dill and parsley, a police source said on Wednesday.
A spokesman for the embassy said the parcel had arrived on Tuesday and had been handed over to Russian police. He did not give any details regarding its contents.
The police source however went on to add that the parcel also contained a block of cheap cigarettes and a greeting card addressed to ex- U.S. president Bill Clinton.
The parcel was sent from the Russian Republic of Komi (to the west of the Ural Mountains).
