Lucknow : The police raided a house on the outskirts of Lucknow city Friday and seized six weapons.
Police officer Kalyan Singh said the weapons included a double barrel gun and a single barrel gun as well as three locally made pistols.
He said the house owner, Shiv Kumar, fled. But two of his associates, Rajender Fauji and Jaiprakash, were arrested. A jeep and a car were also seized, Singh added.
Police sources said Shiv Kumar had allegedly taken a contract to eliminate another criminal in the city. “Before he could execute the contract, we raided his house and recovered the weaponry,” a source said.
