The Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS) of Mumbai Police nabbed Vikram Bhave and Santosh Angre from the Sanatan Sanstha Ashram in Panvel in the morning, police said.

The two are said to be activists of the revivalist organization, Hindu Jan Jagriti Manch (HJJM).

On Monday, the ATS had arrested two HJJM activists Hanumant Gadkari, 50, and Mahesh D. Nikam, 35, from the ashram.

Police alleged the bombs, made with ammonium nitrate, gelatine sticks and other explosive materials, were manufactured in Bhave’s home.

A bomb exploded outside a theatre June 4 on the eve of Indian Premier League (IPL) finals at the D.Y. Patil stadium nearby. There were two more bomb blasts – in Navi Mumbai May 31 and in Panvel Feb 20.

The HJJM, led by Jayant Athavale, had protested in 2002 against celebrated artist M.F. Husain’s paintings of Hindu deities.
