The German Foreign Ministry said in a press release on Monday that Germany would be represented at the meeting by Minister of State of the Ministry, Guenther Gloser.

The ministry said it earmarked 14 million euros to develop the infrastructure of the Lebanese Nahr Al-Bared refugee camp, adding that it would provide an additional 6 million euros — four million from the budget of the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development and 2 million from the Foreign Ministry’s budget.

According to the release, Germany aims to improve the living conditions of the Palestinian refugees in Nahr Al-Bared.

Houses of more than 30,000 people were destroyed in Nahr Al-Bared in clashes between the Lebanese Army and the militants of Fatah Al-Islam in 2007.
