According to the media, the explosive was set off in Taamir neighbourhood and left five wounded, including Imam Yassin, member of the grassroots Sunni organization Yund el Chams, two bodyguards, a woman and a girl.

Jalal Hasanine, leader of Osbat al Ansar, an organization headquartered in Ain al Helue, home to between 70,000 and 80,000 Palestinians, was shot to death two weeks ago.

Tension has since rocketed at the camp where the contingent under Al Fatah command is in charge of security.

Palestinian National Authority President Mahmud Abbas recently called the refugees to avoid involvement in Lebanon’s national conflict and told the media that his cabinet closely follows the developments.
