Man with three passports arrested from Lucknow

Lucknow : The Lucknow police Wednesday arrested a businessman who they said was possessing three passports with different identities.

Officials of the Anti Terrorist Squad (ATS) claimed that using the passports the arrested, Ezaaz Ahmed, has made three “secret” trips to Pakistan and is also suspected to be involved in some “anti-national activities”.

“We also had information that Ahmed used to entertain frequent visitors from Pakistan at his house in Kanpur,” deputy inspector general (ATS) Rajiv Krishna told IANS.

The complainant, Shailendra Singh, a sub inspector with the ATS, informed the Hazratganj police that Ahmed owns a shop in the Bekanganj locality of Kanpur.

Inspector Ashok Singh of Hazratganj police station said a case has been lodged against the suspect under various sections of the Indian Penal Code related to forgery, cheating and forgery of valuable security.

ATS officials said they had vital evidences to substantiate their findings. “At present, we cannot disclose anything,” Krishna said.
