Mumbai : The Indian equities market made some recovery in the afternoon trade and were trading flat Wednesday. The market had opened with a sharp cut reacting to the apex bank’s CRR hike Tuesday.
At 12:30 p.m., the 30-share BSE Sensex was down by 39.54 points or 0.28 percent at 14,067.04. At the day’s low, it touched 13,731.54.
The market breadth was negative. On BSE, 957 shares advanced compared to 1,425 that declined and 82 remained unchanged.
At the same time, the broader-based S&P CNX Nifty was up by 23.85 points or 0.57 percent at 4,214.95.
