Three US soldiers killed in Iraq’s Ninewah province

Baghdad : Three US soldiers affiliated to the Multi-National Forces (MNF) were killed in a bomb explosion in Ninewah province, located in northern Iraq, the MNF said in a statement.

The attack killed three Multi-National Division – North Soldiers and an Iraqi interpreter in an improvised explosive device (IED) explosion in Ninewah Province, the statement said Wednesday.

The names of the deceased are being withheld pending next of kin notification and release by the Department of Defence.

With the new causalities, the MNF has lost 4,109 soldiers since the beginning of operation Iraqi Freedom in 2003. Up to 25 MNF soldiers died in June alone.
