“I condemn the disproportioned and excessive use of the force by Israel, which has killed and wounded so many Palestinians, including children,” said Ban Ki Moon in a report during an emergency meeting of the UN Security Council.

The Security Council was convoked by the Palestine National Authority because of the brutal attack ordered by Tel Aviv in reprisal for the rocket shots by Palestinian militiamen from Hamas against Israeli national territory.

Ban Ki Moon called the Israeli government to cease those disproportionate attacks against Palestinian civilians and abide to fully complete the international humanitarian law.

He said before the Security Council he was deeply concerned because of the possibility of an escalade of violence in that region.

Ban said he has been busy on diplomatic steps with the Palestine National Authority, the Israeli government and the Arab League.
