Ahmadinejad warned peace can only be achieved when all foreign soldiers withdraw also from the Persian gulf where thousands of soldiers and means have been deployed by the United States and other Western powers.

The people of the region have gained nothing from foreign presence except destruction and humiliation, he said.

The US-led invasion – he commented – generated terrorism in Iraq and differences between Shiite and Sunnite religions groups.

During his visit to Baghdad, Admadinejah rejects Washington´s accusations that Iran is supporting Iraqi resistance.

“Accusing others for their own errors never solved anything,” he emphasized.

The Iranian president is the first Persian head of state to visit Iraq in the past 29 years.

On Monday, Iran and Iraq signed a series of agreements to anchor a long-term partnership.

These agreements covered the fields of customs and insurance, industry, transportation and development of mining industries.

“We discussed about 20 programs, and discussions were held in a good atmosphere,” Ahmadinejad affirmed.

The Iranian president told community leaders that Muslim enemies are not interested in any progress and development of Muslim nations adding that those opposed to Islam want no unity in the Muslim world.
