Tokyo : Three ships collided in waters off western Japan’s Kobe city Wednesday afternoon, leading to the overturn of one ship and missing of three crew members, according to Japanese media.
The three ships, including a cargo ship and a tanker, collided near the Akashi strait at about 3:40 p.m. The cargo ship, with 9 Philippine crew members onboard, sank shortly after.
Six onboard the cargo ship have been rescued by the Japan Coast Guard, while the other three remained missing, local rescue team officials said.
