Led by Anjuman president prof. Abuzar Usmani, the delegation apprised the governor about the status of Urdu in the state. Though it has been given the status of second official language of the state, no effort has been made to make this status felt, Usmani told him. Neither Urdu teacher nor Urdu translator has been appointed. The government has not provided text books in Urdu, nor is it mentioning Urdu in literacy campaigns.

The delegation requested him to ask the government to appoint Urdu knowing teachers if Urdu trained teachers are not available in the state.
