The revision of chapters V and VI of the Monterrey Consensus will be another subject of interest, as the prelude to a meeting on that topic by the end of this year in Doha.

The meeting of the MDGs Africa Steering Group is among the main priorities of UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon, who is worried about delays in achieving the projected goals for that continent, with deadline in 2015.

Similarly, the 2008 session of the Special Committee on UN Peace-making Operations will begin Monday, and will close on April 4.

Apart from the session dedicated to Kosovo, requested by the Serbian government, the Security Council plans to analyze the recent report on Lebanon, and get acquainted with progress of the joint mission with the African Union deployed in Darfur.

Afghanistan, the Committee of Sanctions against Sudan, and the situation of the UN Mission in Ethiopia and Eritrea complete the UN agenda for the week.
