New Delhi : Arms dealer Suresh Nanda, his son Sanjeev, their chartered accountant Bipin Shah and Income Tax official Ashutosh Verma were Tuesday sent to the custody of the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) till March 14.
A CBI special court gave day custody of the four accused to the agency for three days to conduct sustained interrogation.
Son of former Indian Navy chief Admiral S.M. Nanda, Suresh Nanda has been accused of bribing Verma through Shah to get a favourable report in an income tax inquiry.
All four were arrested from a Mumbai hotel Saturday night by the CBI where they had allegedly assembled to “further negotiate” the bribe amount.
