Ramallah : An agreement on a lull between Hamas and Israel was worked out via Egyptian mediation, the Israeli media reported.
According to the agreement, Israel will stop its attacks on Gaza, while Hamas will halt firing missiles from the Strip at the Israeli settlements, according to the Israeli media Wednesday.
The Haaretz Israeli paper published the agreement draft text which stated that security at Gaza’s crossings, including the Karni, Sufa, and Kerem Shalom crossings and the Rafah crossing between Gaza and Egypt, should be handed over to the Palestinian Authority.
It also stated that Palestinian Authority Presidential Guard members will be deployed near the crossings, while Hamas members will control the movement of Palestinians there.
