Washington : The White House on Wednesday announced that U.S. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice and U.S. Defense Secretary Robert Gates will be traveling to Russia this month.
At the request of U.S. President George W. Bush, the two secretaries will be visiting in Russia from March 17 to the 18, 2008.
Rice and Gates will be in Moscow to talk to Russian leaders as part of “ongoing consolations and discussions,” said White House press secretary Dana Perino. She also added that they are likely to discuss missile defense systems, non-proliferation efforts, and counter-terrorism strategies.
