Upcoming visit by Kuwait Amir to reinforce relations with Turkey

Istanbul : The upcoming visit by the Amir of Kuwait Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah to Turkey would reinforce bilateral relations, stated a Kuwaiti diplomat on Saturday.

Speaking to KUNA on the phone, Kuwaiti ambassador to Turkey Abdullah Al-Thowaik affirmed that the visit is going to revitalize agreements signed between both nations.

Economic relations with Turkey improved during the course of the pervious four years, said the ambassador, adding that 14 bilateral deals were signed to boost cooperation on different domains.

He indicated that Turkey has a promising market with the government here issuing new laws to provide foreign business personnel with opportunities to invest in the country.

Several Kuwaiti have benefited from the new regulations, affirmed Al-Thowaik, revealing that Kuwait also signed agreements to bolster cooperation on the health level.

Volume foreign investments in Turkey reached USD 20 billion last year, a number indicating a vast development in Ankara’s economic system.
