Islamabad : At least seven security personnel were killed in a suicide attack on a camp in Pakistan’s tribal region, local TV channels reported Thursday.
The attack occurred when a suicide bomber blew himself up near a security camp at Wana, main town of South Waziristan tribal region on the Afghan border, Dawn News TV said.
Further details were not available.
TV channels said the attack might be the reaction to a recent missile strike in South Waziristan, which had killed some 20 suspected militants.
Pakistan has seen a wave of violent attacks in recent months, and most of the attacks are targeting security forces and the police.
